"I've been attending Sharan Tash's women's group training sessions for the past year, and it's one of the best commitments I've made to my health. I go three times a week because I genuinely enjoy it—a first for me when it comes to the gym!
Over the past year, I've become noticeably stronger, my balance has improved, and I have more confidence in what my body can do. Every class is different, so the workouts stay challenging, interesting, and fun.
Sharan is an exceptional trainer. She really knows her stuff and does a great job of meeting everyone where they are while encouraging us to keep improving. Her knowledge, energy, and encouragement create an environment where you want to work hard and keep coming back.
The women in the classes are welcoming, supportive, and fun, creating a true sense of community. It's a place where everyone cheers each other on, regardless of fitness level.
The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the instruction and the supportive atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to get stronger, improve your balance and overall fitness, and actually enjoy working out, I highly recommend TASH Fitness in Glenview's women's group fitness classes. TASH Wellness programming is designed with the science of aging and function in mind. We are not about the newest fad. We use programs based on science and proven techniques that showcase the uniqueness of our bodies as we age. We encourage training in a group because it helps build that sense of community in small groups while recognizing each member’s individual goals and individual limitations.
These workouts may be station-to-station with a different exercise at each station, or the group may be all doing the same workout all at once. Whichever the case may be, the skills for you individually will be specific and modified for your body to prevent injury. We work WITH your limitations not avoid them.

Transfers to Real Life Activities
Fitness training is essential for women over 50 because it helps maintain muscle, strength, balance, mobility, and confidence. Regular exercise supports stronger bones, improves everyday movement, and helps women remain active and independent. The right fitness program can make daily activities easier while supporting a healthier, stronger, more energetic life.

No one likes falling, and it’s especially scary for seniors. TASH Wellness can minimize the risk of falling through a training program that focuses on flexibility, stability, balance, strength and coordination. We will also educate our seniors through a fall prevention program.
Every workout has a Fall Prevention component, but quality of movement is first and foremost.

Balance training is especially important for women 50 and older because balance can decline with age. Improving balance, stability, coordination, and strength can reduce the risk of falls and increase confidence in everyday activities. Regular balance training helps women move safely, maintain independence, and continue enjoying an active lifestyle.

Many women enjoy training in women-only fitness facilities because they feel comfortable, supported, and confident.
The environment encourages connection, motivation, and camaraderie without intimidation or comparison. Women can focus on their individual goals, build friendships, celebrate accomplishments, and enjoy exercising alongside others who understand and encourage their fitness journey.

TASH Wellness incorporates cognitive fitness into our exercise programs to challenge both the brain and body. Members may practice remembering movement sequences, responding to directions, coordinating movements, changing direction, and performing multiple tasks at once. Combining physical movement with cognitive challenges helps keep the brain actively engaged while developing coordination, balance, reaction skills, and confidence.
All our sessions are designed using the six foundations of Physical Function (neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, balance, mobility, cognitive/emotional)

Pre-surgical and post-rehab training can help women over 50 maintain strength, mobility, balance, and confidence through important stages of recovery.
Pre-surgical training can help prepare the body for the physical demands ahead.
After completing rehabilitation, appropriate fitness training can help rebuild strength, improve movement, and support a safe return to everyday activities.
With proper guidance and medical clearance when needed, women can continue progressing toward greater independence and a more active lifestyle.
